Defender Racic sent back to Brentford by Cobblers

Defender Luka Racic has left Northampton and returned to parent club Brentford.

The 21-year-old centre-back, who signed for the Cobblers following Charlie Goode's departure to the Bees, started just four league matches during his five months at the club.

He has struggled with form and injury and last started a league game back in October.

The two clubs have now agreed for the player's loan to come to an end and he has returned to his parent club.

"We would like to thank Luka for his time at the club and wish him well for the future," said Northampton in a brief statement.

Lloyd Jones has taken Racic's place in Town's defence after joining as a free agent earlier in the week.
