It was a long-time in the making but Keith Curle says he's delighted to finally complete a deal for midfielder Jack Sowerby.

The 25-year-old has joined the Cobblers from Fleetwood Town for an undisclosed fee, penning a two-year contract at the PTS.

Town were linked with the midfielder earlier in the summer but Curle has had to bide his time before making Sowerby his 10th signing of the window.

"Jack is a player who has been on our radar for some time," said Curle. "He is a dynamic, attacking midfield player who likes to get forward and has an eye for goal.

"Jack has an excellent attitude, a good work ethic, he is a good age with a good range of experience and he has that hunger and desire to kick on. He is someone we think will fit in well here.

"He has a good understanding of the role he plays in the team, he takes up threatening positions and I think he is someone who will add to our group."
