Curle suggests Cobblers might not be finished in the transfer market
Cobblers boss Keith Curle has hinted he might not be finished in the transfer market following the arrival of Alan Sheehan as a free agent.
Sheehan became Northampton's 12th signing since the end of last season when he joined on an appearance-based contract earlier this week.

"Alan has come in and had a positive impact on the group and there's still room for more players," said Curle. "There are some good players who are unattached and are available but aren't playing football.
"Some players will have wage demands and they may put themselves in a certain category and be thinking 'this is what I was earning last season, this is what I'm worth now and I'm not going to take anything else'.
"But then it's also about their desire to actually be playing and having a platform to sell themselves. If they want a contract at a club in January, then not playing for six, seven months, maybe more, isn't the best advert for them. Playing games at a League One club is a good platform."

"It is a numbers game and not just financially," added Curle. "We're able to compete financially but there's a limit on squad sizes and things like that so it might have to be a case of one player out to get one in.
"We've got players that are attracting a little bit of attention because teams are noticing certain players aren't getting consistent game-time and we've got a changing room of players who want to play.
"If they have to step down a couple of levels to go and get that game-time, and if it's right for them and right for the club, then that could happen."
