Cobblers boss Keith Curle says he is 'happy' with his summer business so far but still plans on strengthening his squad further following the arrival of Benny Ashley-Seal from Wolves.

The 21-year-old forward is Town's ninth summer signing and will add much-needed competition alongside Harry Smith and Joe Nuttall in the striker department.

But with the window open for another month, the Cobblers are not done yet and Curle ideally wants another striker, midfielder and defender to add depth and flexibility ahead of a busy season.

"With the recruitment department we have here, I'm very happy with the progress in terms of the players we've brought in and the players we're looking to bring in." said Curle.

"People say recruitment is all about money but in League One and League Two, it's not about how much you spend, it's about having the availability to spend that money when you need it and on the right projects.

"Some of the players we've brought in, we know that they're projects and long-term projects but we invest in what we class as value and we're always working. I speak to the head of recruitment more than I speak to my missus at the moment!

"But we're always on the lookout and we've identified a few positions whereby personnel might become available and that could strengthen the squad."
