Keith Curle is expecting a quiet deadline day for the Cobblers after stating his delight with the club's business during the January transfer window.

Curle has chopped and changed his squad, letting four players leave, plus Ricky Holmes and Luka Racic, whilst bringing in Mickel Miller, Ryan Edmondson, Peter Kioso and Bryn Morris on loan.

Clubs have until 11pm on Monday to complete late business but it appears Curle and Town are done for now, although they can still sign free agents beyond that deadline.

"I think we've had a good window," said Curle. "We've brought in players who we have identified as potential assets to the squad.

"They will add different dimensions and different dynamics to the squad and we're thankful that we got our work done early. As a club, we haven't panicked and we haven't overspent and we made sure we had finances and spaces available if the right deal came around.

"Some took a bit longer than what we expected but as a whole we're in a good place. I'm never going to be 100 per cent happy because we're not top of the league and I don't think any manager will ever be complete happy.

"But as a football club and a footballing department, this window has been a very good window for ourselves, not only in terms of the players that have come in but also with players going out because they will further their careers in the short, medium and long term.

"We've got our first-choice targets and I think that shows the good due diligence done by the club because the recruitment is always an ongoing process and you have to wait for the domino effect."
