The game was not without chances but both goalkeepers made important saves as Town kept their third clean sheet in four league games. Here are our player ratings...
5. Joseph Mills
After suffering two bad injuries last term, this looked another nasty one. The real tragedy was that he sustained it while making a magnificent covering tackle... 7
6. Paul Lewis
Steady if unspectacular in midfield, more involved in the second-half when Cobblers dictated possession. Could be more purposeful with his passing... 6.5
7. Jordan Flores
Quiet first-half but started to get on the ball more in the second, and produced one lovely moment when he spun his man and slipped through Etete with a perfectly-weighted pass. Cobblers need more of that... 6.5
8. Sam Hoskins
Clever flick from a throw put Etete in on goal early on. Did plenty of good approach work but made some poor decisions in the final third, often going for a speculative shot when he had other options... 6.5
