It is the third kit designed by manufactures Hummel, who have taken over from Nike for the 2020/21 season, following Town's traditional claret home strip and their new white away kit, which were both unveiled last month.

The new third kit, which is shown below, is available to purchase from, and it will get an immediate outing this evening with Cobblers heading down the M1 to face MK Dons in their opening EFL Trophy group stage fixture.

Speaking ahead of the game, manager Keith Curle said: “Our approach doesn’t change whoever we play against and whatever the competition is.

“We came back in pre-season wanting to pick up where we left off and to make sure we maintained the same mindset and fundamentals.

“We wanted to make sure the new players got an understanding of that as quickly as possible and for the players that were already here it was about re-enforcement."
