Cobblers to confirm retained list after Brady meets with players

Cobblers are set to confirm their retained list once manager Jon Brady has met with his players later this week.

Brady, who was named Town's new permanent manager on Saturday, will sit down with his squad on Tuesday following their final-day draw with Sunderland.

Lloyd Jones captained the Cobblers at the Stadium of Light and is among those out of contract, along with Mark Marshall, Alan Sheehan, Alex Jones, Ryan Watson and Steve Arnold.

Cian Bolger, Shaun McWilliams and Ricky Korboa are also out of contract but the club have an option to extend each of their current deals.

"We're going to sit down and meet with the players on Tuesday," confirmed Brady. "By late Tuesday afternoon you will know our retained list and we'll go from there.

"But there is a lot of work ahead of us to make sure we're in a positive position to start next season."

Meanwhile, loanees Jonathan Mitchell, Bryn Morris, Mickel Miller, Peter Kioso and Ryan Edmondson will all return to their parent clubs.
