Cobblers swoop to sign Wolves striker Benny Ashley-Seal for an undisclosed fee
The 21-year-old, who joins on a two-year deal, spent some of pre-season on trial at the club and featured in the friendly against Luton Town, although he only lasted 15 minutes due to injury.
Ashley-Seal was in the Norwich City Academy and in 2015 was named by The Guardian as one of the young Premier League talents to look out for alongside the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Hide AdHe joined Wolves in 2017 and made his debut for the Molineux club the following August before signing a new three-and-a-half-year contract in January 2019 ahead of a loan move to Portuguese LigaPro side Famalicão.
After scoring 14 goals in half a season for Wolves U23s in 2019/20, including a hat-trick against Carlisle United in the EFL Trophy, Ashley-Seal joined Accrington Stanley on loan at the end of January 2020, making five appearances before football was suspended because of the coronavirus pandemic.
