Cobblers slip back below the line after great night for relegation rivals
Trio all win to pile the pressure on Town ahead of trip to London Road
Cobblers are back in the Sky Bet League One relegation zone after a productive evening for three of their survival rivals.
The shock result of the night came at the DW Stadium as Wigan Athletic fought back from 1-0 down to beat promotion-chasing Sunderland 2-1.
The Latics are now a point above Town having played the same number of games, but AFC Wimbledon are even better off following an emphatic 3-0 victory over Ipswich.
The Dons are up to 42 points, two clear of the Cobblers, and still have a game in hand.
There was also a much-needed win for bottom side Rochdale who beat Swindon 2-1. They now have 36 points, Swindon have 37, Bristol Rovers have 38 and Northampton are on 40.
