I’m sure the club have contingency plans in place but I would be surprised if we’re in a situation where absolutely no fans are allowed into the ground again. We might have restrictions if cases rise and when the weather turns, but I think that’s a long way off. Everything suggests we’re all good to go with capacity crowds.
Think it’ll be Roberts. Thought that before Cambridge and his performance in that game (plus the fact he played the full 90 minutes) should have confirmed it.
“How do you think crowds will hold up at Sixfields? Do you think we’ll see any caution from people returning to grounds and being in a crowd again?” asks Dave
There seems to be a real mix. Some people are more excited than ever after missing last season (despite relegation) but I’ve also had messages from one or two who are hesitant and will see how things go before deciding whether to return full-time.
As always so much of it will depend on what happens on the pitch. Make a good start to the season and play good football and fans will inevitably turn up in their numbers. One disappointment is that we probably won’t get too many big away followings, bar a handful of clubs. That wouldn’t have been a problem last season!
I’ll finish with these ones. Will no doubt be made to look foolish come May...
Player of the season: Aaron McGowan
Top goalscorer: Nicke Kabamba
Most assists: Mitch Pinnock
Final league position: 7th
