Cobblers on the road again... fans' away day guide as Town head to the Jonny-Rocks Stadium to take on Cheltenham Town

The Cobblers are back on the road on Tuesday night as they head to Gloucestershire to take on Cheltenham Town in a crucial Sky Bet League Two game (ko 7.45pm).

A loyal following of Town fans will make the trip to the superbly-named Jonny-Rocks Stadium, with Keith Curle's men hoping to build on Saturday's 2-0 success over Exeter City and maintain their promotion ambition.

Cobblers' overall record at Whaddon Road: P 16 W 3 D 5 L 8 - The Cobblers haven't won at Whaddon Road since Luke Guttridge's stunning strike gave Aidy Boothroyrd's team a 1-0 win in the play-off semi-final second-leg back on May 5, 2013. That is only one of three wins the team have managed in Gloucestershire, the others coming in 2009 and 2006.

Away fan stand: Away supporters are housed in the Hazlewoods Stand, which is at the Whaddon Road End of the stadium. The stand was built in 2005 and has 1,100 seats.

Nearest train station: Nearest train station is Cheltenham Spa Railway Station. There are frequent train routes run between Cheltenham and Birmingham, and Cheltenham and London. To get to the ground from Cheltenham Spa railway station it is best to get a taxi (there is a taxi rank at the station) as it is a 30-minute walk to the ground.

Nearest pub for away fans (details from footballgroundguide.com): There is a club bar at the ground called the Robins Nest which allows in small numbers of away fans for a £1 admission fee. Around a 10 minute walk away from the ground are the Sudeley Arms and The Conservatory on Prestbury Road on the outskirts of the town centre. To find these pubs, turn right out of the club car park, and then turn left at the end of the road. Go straight over the roundabout, and The Sudeley Arms is on your left and the Conservatory is further up on your right. Otherwise, very near to the ground is the Parklands Social Club, where you can also park your car (£5). Simply go down Whaddon Road, passing the ground and the bowling club on your left. Take the first left hand turn and the entrance to the social club car park is a short distance down on the left.
