Cobblers left-back Joseph Mills will need to be reassessed again to determine whether or not he can make the trip up to Doncaster on Saturday.

The 31-year-old was substituted during the second-half of Saturday's win over Portsmouth and did not make the squad for Town's defeat at Charlton in midweek.

Michael Harriman came in at left-back and may well be required again at the Keepmoat this weekend if Mills does not recover in time.

"Millsy missing out was precautionary," confirmed manager Jon Brady. "We feel prevention is better than curing and we wanted to protect him, which is what we've done now.

"We'll keep monitoring him this week and see for Saturday but I thought Michael Harriman came in on Tuesday and looked strong in that position so we don't have any qualms with him. He's a fantastic player and a fantastic work ethic."

Cian Bolger was back on the bench at Charlton after two weeks out with a hip complaint but neither Alan Sheehan nor Benny Ashley-Seal are ready to return.

"Sheehan is probably two, maybe three weeks away," Brady added. "Cian Bolger came back onto the bench in midweek and we're monitoring him at the moment but he's pushing himself through the pain barrier and that's a fantastic attitude to have.

"Benny Ashley-Seal might be another week away so we're looking positive at the moment and, touch wood, we don't get any more."
