Cobblers hopeful Watson will be available for Blackpool visit

Cobblers' top scorer Ryan Watson will be touch and go for this weekend's visit of promotion hopefuls Blackpool.

The midfielder, who has nine goals in all competitions this season, was forced off in the closing stages of Saturday's 2-2 draw at Gillingham.

He did not train in the early part of the week but manager Jon Brady is keeping his fingers crossed that he'll be available to face the Seasiders.

"We hope he'll be fit," said Brady. "He didn't train today (Tuesday) but we hope he will be fit for the weekend.

"We'll have to wait and see and we'll monitor him throughout the week.

"Nacho is working overtime at the moment and he's doing a great job - he's certainly earning his money!"

Peter Kioso is being monitored on a daily basis as he continues to nurse his groin problem while Mickel Miller should be available again this weekend providing he has suffers no reaction after returning from a hamstring injury.

Jack Sowerby, Steve Arnold, Benny Ashley-Seal and Alan Sheehan remain sidelined.
