The Cobblers can look forward to a derby day in the first round of the FA Cup after being drawn at home to county neighbours Kettering Town.

The match is a repeat of the 1989 first round FA Cup tie between the sides that was staged at Rockingham Road, with Dean Thomas scoring the only goal of the game.

The Poppies are enjoying an excellent season, sitting second in the Pitching-In Southern League Premier Central, and earned their place in the first round with an excellent 2-1 win at National League North side Farsley Celtic on Saturday.

They include former Newcastle United striker Nile Ranger in their ranks.

Elsewhere, Brackley Town will be at home to Braintree Town in the first round if they can see off Hartlepool United in their replay at St James Park on Tuesday night.

The first round draw was staged at Bradford City's Valley Parade stadium, and made live on BBC2.

Kelly Somers presented the show, with the draw being made by former Watford, Portsmouth and Sheffield United forward Danny Webber.
