Northampton Town have received a flood of messages, both via email and on social media, from fans saying they will not be asking for the club to refund their season tickets - despite the campaign being brought to a premature conclusion.

The League Two season, suspended in mid-March due to the coronavirus pandemic, was effectively ended at a conference call on Friday when clubs voted to cancel all remaining fixtures, bar the play-offs.

Even if the play-offs go ahead, fans will not be allowed to attend with mass gatherings banned by the government, however despite missing out on four home matches and five away, it seems the majority of supporters do not plan to ask for a refund.

Chairman Kelvin Thomas has been grateful for the support from fans and says details of next year's season tickets will be announced in due course.

@SeanNTFC: "No refund for us. 2 adults, 2 children. We will continue to support you home and away."
