Cobblers agree to move league game to new day to help supporters
Cobblers and Bristol Rovers have agreed to move their Sky Bet League Two fixture to a new day in order to make life easier for supporters of both clubs.
The Sixfields clash was originally scheduled to be played on New Year’s Day but has been moved back 24 hours. The game will now be played on Saturday, January 2nd, 2027, at 3pm.
The club confirmed: “The move has been mutually agreed by both clubs and has been made to hopefully make travel easier for all supporters and to also give both clubs an extra 24 hours preparation time.”
On December 29th, Cobblers host Chesterfield whilst Rovers are on the road at Port Vale.
