That is the opinion of Spireites boss Paul Cook, who says his team will be paying their non-League visitors the ‘utmost respect’ at the Proact Stadium.

Cook has already confirmed he will be playing the strongest team available to him when Darran Foster’s men come to town, and he revealed that he and his coaching team have been doing their homework on the Purple Army.

“We have watched Daventry twice, last Saturday and on Tuesday night, and we know a lot about them now,” said Cook.

“They are having a fantastic season in their own right and are very used to winning, so we must give them the utmost respect.

“It is a game we are expected to win, we are not stupid, and that is not being cocky or over-confident or anything else.

“I think Daventry’s achievement is getting to the first round, so they are now in a no-lose situation.

“They can turn up and have a great day.

“They are bringing good support, and the icing on the cake for them will be to get a result, and we have to make sure that doesn’t happen.”
