Cheltenham boss Duff picks out the key man for 'direct and physical' Cobblers

Cheltenham Town manager Michael Duff has singled out in-form striker Callum Morton as the main danger man when his side entertain play-off rivals Northampton on Tuesday.

Morton has three goals since he signed for the Cobblers last month and produced another man of the match display against Exeter City on Saturday.

"He's got a brilliant attitude and good quality and he'll run and run and run and he's also got a finishing touch at the end of it," said Duff.

"They normally play him off one of the big lads. He'll run off the target man and he'll constant run so he's a threat, but they've also got good quality in wide areas."

Tonight's clash at Whaddon road is a meeting of two promotion-chasing sides with Cheltenham currently fifth, two places and two points above the Cobblers.

Duff, who's still aggrieved that Jordan Turnbull wasn't sent off just a couple of minutes into the reverse fixture, is in his first full season as a manager after leaving his coaching role at Burnley.

"They have been pretty direct, they are physical and they play a different way to us but that's what football is all about," Duff added. "It's about different ways and finding ways to win.

"It was a tough game at their place. They had a few chances but I felt their man should have been sent off in the first minute of the game.

"They are a difficult team to play against. You look at the results they put together, the run that they went on, I know they've lost three on the spin but they've just beaten Exeter.

"They went on a great run before that and they had a credible draw against Derby in the FA Cup and then took them all the way in the replay.

"We know what to expect because it's the same as they'll know what to expect from us.

"They're good at what they do but it's OK knowing about it, it's about being good enough to deal with it."
