Cautious Curle hints a new signing could be close
Cobblers boss Keith Curle has hinted he might be close to making his first signing of the January ransfer window but will wait until 'ink is on the paper' before taking anything for granted.
Town have been in talks with a number of players as they look to bolster their ranks this month, and Curle revealed after Tuesday's defeat to MK Dons that things are progressing well.

"There's a willingness and a temptation for me to say something but until the paper has been signed, it's not happened," said Curle. "But we're down the line with a number of players that I think will add qualities and dynamics to the squad.
"There might be agreements in principle and agreements with the football clubs and agreements with the players but I've learned my lessons from the past and until the paper is signed, the player hasn't signed.
"We've had good conversations with players and their agents and their representatives so all we need now is ink on the paper."
