Cobblers' Sky Bet League One home fixture with Wigan Athletic has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

A mixture of rain and snow on Friday night and Saturday morning made for a very wet surface at the PTS Academy Stadium, prompting referee Marc Edwards to inspect around midday before calling the game off.

No new date for the game has yet been arranged, but any iFollow match passes purchased will be valid for the re-arranged game.

It is the third time in the past two weeks that Cobblers have had a game postponed after fixtures against both Oxford United and Blackpool also fell foul of the weather.

It leaves them playing catch-up to the rest of Sky Bet League One having managed only 23 fixtures so far this season.
