BREAKING: Cobblers sign Korboa after successful trial

Cobblers have signed attacking player Ricky Korboa from Isthmian Premier Division side Carshalton Athletic for an undisclosed fee.

Korboa, who can play out wide or as a central striker, has been snapped up by Northampton after doing enough to impress Keith Curle whilst on trial in pre-season.

The 23-year-old scored in the 5-0 victory over the youth team and also featured against Leyton Orient, West Brom U23s and Luton Town, playing in a variety of roles including wing-back, attacking midfield and up front.

Korboa scored 15 times for Carshalton in 2018/19 and won five of the club's seven player of the year awards, before adding a further 16 goals during the shortened 2019/20 campaign.

He is Town's eighth signing of the summer and has agreed an initial one year contract, with the option for a second year.
