Brady pleased with performance, but felt Cobblers deserved more from Ipswich clash

Cobblers caretaker boss Jon Brady admitted he felt a trace of disappointment despite his side coming away from Ipswich Town with a valuable and commendable away point on Tuesday.

Town were long odds to get anything from their trip to Portman Road but they were the superior team and created better chances than their hosts, especially in the first-half.

Jack Sowerby and Sam Hoskins both went close while Peter Kioso smacked the woodwork and Mark Marshall regularly threatened down the right flank.

So whilst it was a good point - Brady's first in charge - it could have been even better.

"I am a bit disappointed, yes," said Brady. "If you look at the stats in the first-half, we had six shots to their none and we're the away team.

"Pete had a super strike and the goalkeeper makes an incredible save onto the woodwork and then just before half-time, we have Marshy's chance.

"It doesn't go down as a stat but it's drilled just wide and Sowerby is very close to it and those were the type of entries we were getting, especially in the first-half.

"We played Jack in the 10 role tonight and he found some great positions but he didn't quite have the belief to take the shot early - you don't have time to take too many touches in the box at this level.

"But we've only been in six days and you could see signs of a performance.

The indecisive moment cost us on Saturday and we lost the game but we know what we want to implement and if you compared today's performance to last Tuesday, there's a clear difference."
