Barnsley lose top scorer before Cobblers clash after deadline day move
Barnsley will be without top scorer Davis Keillor-Dunn for Tuesday’s League One fixture against Northampton after he was sold to Wrexham on deadline day.
Keillor-Dunn scored 13 league goals for the Tykes this season, seven more than their next top scorer, but the club accepted an offer from Wrexham, who currently occupy a play-off place in the Championship, late on deadline day.

Head coach Conor Hourihane said: “Davis has been a fantastic player for us since the moment he arrived. His goals, energy and determination have made a lasting impact, and although we’re disappointed to lose a player of his quality, we recognise the opportunity this move presents for him.
“On behalf of everyone at the club, I want to thank him for his commitment, professionalism and the moments he delivered in a Barnsley shirt. We wish him all the very best for his return to Wrexham.”
Barnsley replaced Keillor-Dunn with the addition of Tom Bradshaw on loan from Oxford, although he will not be eligible for tonight’s game at Oakwell.
Hourihane added: “I’m pleased to be able to welcome Tom back. I know exactly what he brings – professionalism, experience, and goals. He’s a brilliant character and someone our younger players can learn a lot from.
“Most importantly, he still has that hunger to make an impact. The connection he already has with the club and the fans makes this a perfect fit for what we want to achieve between now and the end of the season.”
