Cobblers caretaker boss Jon Brady has given an update on Mickel Miller, Alan Sheehan and Benny Ashley-Seal after all three missed Saturday's game against Burton Albion.

Miller has only managed 36 minutes in a Town shirt after picking up an injury on debut at Lincoln City last month, while defender Sheehan has not played since January 2.

"I think Alan Sheehan is about 10 days away," said Brady. "Mickel is probably a bit sooner.

"We know Alan will be so important to this team because the fact is, when he plays, the team picks up points.

"He's got the best points ratio in the squad and that's down to how he impacts the team through his talking, his detail and his positioning.

"He's also got a wand of a left foot and he's an inspirational bloke."

On Ashley-Seal, Brady revealed the striker was not injured after he was absent from the squad on Saturday.

"It was a selection decision," said Brady. "He must work harder in training."
