Willey misses Lions opener
Northamptonshire all-rounder David Willey was left out of the England Lions side for their tri-series opener against Sri Lanka A in Taunton today (Wednesday).
The series continues at the weekend when England face their New Zealand counterparts in Bristol before it moves on to Worcester for the final two games on Monday and Tuesday.
As a result of his inclusion in the Lions squad, Willey will miss the County’s Royal London Cup fixtures against Hampshire (Friday), Leicestershire (Sunday) and Derbyshire (Monday).
