With 10 games remaining, Rushton moved up to pole position with a five-wicket defeat of previous leaders Peterborough at Station Road, although the sides are level on points.

Rushden are third, seven points off the summit, with Old Northamptonians fourth (14 points behind) and Finedon 20 points off the top in fifth.

Against Rushton, Peterborough were bowled out for 160, Ashley Rogers top scoring with 53, as Dan Bendon did the damage with figures of six for 36.

This total didn’t cause any undue difficulties as Ben Mansell’s 61 steered them home with 13 overs to spare.

Rushden saw off Brixworth by six wickets.

The hosts were then dismissed for 187 (Liam Bates 59) with Tom Heathfield taking four for 54 and Afaq Babar and Phillip Ellis claiming two wickets apiece.

Finedon Dolben had too much for Stony Stratford.

Horton House’s best campaign for years continued as they demolished Burton Latimer by 208 runs.

Leo Carter hit 140 - his third century of the season - and Jack Johnson 65 as the hosts racked up 333 for five which was far too many for Burton who were skittled for 125 (Luke Odell 51) with Charlie MacDonnell taking five for 35 and Andrew Neate three for six.
