She trains in Sheffield with Team GB during the week and is highly rated by the international coaches.

The 24-year-old won a gold medal in the recent Olympic Games test event in Rio and will look to qualify for the Games in forthcoming tournaments.

Cameron will do battle in the Strandja tournament in Bulgaria, which begins on Monday, with the European Championships, which act as a qualification competition for Rio, starting in Turkey in April.

But she is in need of help to make her Olympic dream come true.

And Cameron has been selected by Powerade for their new international Olympic crowdfunding programme, which will aim to raise money for the journey ahead.

Supporters can donate money to aid Cameron’s bid and she is just hoping for more fantastic backing from her hometown.

“This year is going to be the biggest of my whole career in boxing,” Cameron said.

“I have a chance to actually qualify for Rio and be part of Team GB, taking part in the Olympic Games.
