Apple laptops rarely fall into “bargain bin” territory — yet somehow this Black Friday deal has pushed a genuine MacBook Pro down to just £124, triggering a rush to grab one before they sell out

Shop around for a MacBook Pro and you can easily spend north of £2,000 - they're really hot property.

But you don't need to stomach Apple-level prices to acquire one, because there is a way to buy a high-end MacBook laptop for just £124.

Obviously, there's a catch. And it's because this is a price for a refurbished model.

However, this is a refurbished laptop graded as "good", so you might see some cosmetic marks, but it'll fundamentally be a fully-functioning, reliable workhorse which will do a great job of servicing your basic laptop needs.

It's by no means the latest model, but it's still a high-end MacBook, and it's an absolute bargainplaceholder image

Each laptop comes with a fresh install of macOS El Capitan, Microsoft Office pre-loaded, 4GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive and an Intel Core 2 Duo processor — which, while old, is absolutely fine for browsing, streaming, emails, writing, studying and the usual everyday stuff.

Usually, these graded refurbished models cost £299, but it's Black Friday, so there's a huge saving to be had.

The A1278 13-inch model, normally £299, is now down to £124. And if you fancy a bit more screen real estate, you can upgrade to the 15-inch A1286 version for an equally tempting £139.

Either way, you’re getting a proper Apple laptop for low-end Chromebook money.

Both sizes include a replacement charger and a 3-pin UK plug, and buying refurbished tech is a genuinely solid eco-friendly choice. You’re keeping kit in circulation, cutting down on waste and avoiding the carbon footprint of a brand-new device.

According to Wowcher, which is setting up the deal on behalf of Stop & Shop, more than 650 people have already signed up - and we don't know how many are left. So be quick if you want to grab one of these machines.
