A refurbished Blink video doorbell has dropped to just £21.99 on Amazon, offering smart security for less than half the usual price

This video doorbell is an absolute bargain, and a very cheap way to beef up your home security at just £21.99 - but there is a catch.

It's a "Certified Refurbished", which means Amazon has taken it back into stock, checked it over thoroughly, and put it back on sale with a fresh warranty.

They're usually as good as new, but might come with different packaging, or you might see signs that it's not factory fresh.

But it means you get a substantial saving over the new price - in this case, it's a 59% saving. The Blink Video Doorbell usually costs £53.99.

This particular model has all the features you'd want from a top-spec video doorbell, including motion alerts, long battery life, two-way audio and live viewing.

It's easy to set up, works with Alexa, can link to your existing doorbell, and gives HD video footage.

The only other thing you might consider is a subscription to Blink's cloud service, which unlocks a few extra features for £2.50 per month, with a 30-day free trial. You don't need it, though; most functions work fine without it.

Amazon says this is a "limited-time deal", and we don't know how many are in stock, so if you are tempted by it, act quickly.
