A short-lived Amazon deal has dropped the price of a popular indoor smart camera to just £9.99

If you move fast, there’s a remarkably cheap smart home deal live on Amazon right now. The Blink Mini indoor camera has dropped to just £9.99, which is about as low as prices get for a branded smart camera.

For that money, you’re getting a full HD indoor camera with motion detection, two-way audio and smart home compatibility, all wrapped up in a compact little unit.

Amazon is flagging the deal as “selling fast”, and while stock levels aren’t clear, the offer is set to end in just over a week, so it’s clearly not hanging around for long.

The Blink Mini is a popular choice as a pet camera thanks to its small size and clear picture quality.

The built-in microphone and speaker also mean you can talk to your pet remotely, which is handy if you’re out for longer than planned.

Footage can be viewed live via the Blink app on your phone, or on a compatible smart display.

This version comes in two colours, but it doesn’t include pan and tilt functionality — that model costs £34.99 — but it does cover the basics very well for the price.

There’s also a newer Blink Mini that records in 2K, but at £39.99 it’s a very different proposition.

At £9.99, this standard HD version feels like exceptional value, especially if you’re looking to add a bit of affordable security or pet monitoring to your home.
