This £59 portable air cooler deal includes a 4L tank, ice pack and oscillation

A portable air cooler with a 4L water tank, oscillation and an ice pack included has landed in a Wowcher deal for £59, offering a lower-cost option for households trying to make bedrooms, home offices and living rooms more comfortable during warm weather.

The Portable Oscillating Air Cooler with 4L Water Tank is listed as reduced from £98.99 to £59, with postage from £8.99. The deal page shows a 40% reduction, while the cooler has a 3.5-star rating from 1,294 reviews and more than 6,700 bought at the time of writing.

Unlike a standard desk fan, the Hirix air cooler is designed to cool and humidify the air using a honeycomb cooling pad and a 4L water tank. It also comes with an ice pack, giving users the option to add colder airflow when temperatures climb.

That makes it a useful middle ground for people who want more than a basic fan but do not want to pay portable air conditioner prices. It is not listed as a full air conditioning unit, so buyers should not expect the same chilled-air performance as a compressor-powered machine, but the combination of water cooling, airflow and oscillation could appeal to anyone looking for extra relief in smaller spaces.

The portable air cooler deal includes three speed settings, allowing users to choose between low, medium and high airflow depending on the room and temperature. There is also a 120-degree oscillation function, designed to spread the breeze more evenly rather than blowing in one fixed direction.

Its 4L tank should mean fewer refills than smaller tabletop coolers, while the push-button controls keep the design simple. Wowcher also lists a built-in anti-dust filter, which is designed to help trap dust and particles as the air moves through the unit.

The size could be another selling point for homes where floor space is limited. The Hirix portable cooler measures 58cm high, 22cm wide and 23cm deep, so it is taller than a compact desk fan but still narrow enough to fit beside a sofa, bed or desk. Removable wheels are included, which should make it easier to move from room to room during the day.

The timing could also make the deal feel more relevant as households look for ways to stay comfortable without adding another big appliance to the home. Bedrooms, home offices, dorm rooms and smaller flats are all mentioned in the product details as possible uses, while the low-noise design is listed as suitable for areas where people may be working, relaxing or sleeping.

The Wowcher air cooler offer is also marked as selling fast, with the deal page saying five others had already bought it today. As with all limited-time promotions, the final price and availability can change, so it is worth checking the delivery cost and full terms before buying.

For anyone weighing up cheaper cooling options before another stuffy night, this is likely to sit closer to the affordable comfort-buy end of the market than the premium appliance category.
