Strong winds to hit Northamptonshire as Met Office issues weather warning

A weather warning for strong winds has been put in place for the whole of Northamptonshire.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning that is in place from 4am until 6pm on Friday (August 21).

Hide AdInland winds are expected to reach up to 45-50mph and should ease gradually during the late afternoon.
Majority of the north, west and south of the country is affected by the warning.
In Northampton, there are expected highs of 21C on Friday with a 40 percent chance of rain between and 10am and 1pm.
The Met Office is warning that the extreme weather could led to some travel disruption, including road, rail, air and ferry transport, as well as the potential for some short-term loss of power.
