Residents in two Northamptonshire villages are being told to keep doors and windows closed on Friday morning (June 10) following a field fire overnight.

Guilsborough Road, Hollowell, remains closed after four crews of firefighters tackled a blaze.

Northamptonshire Fire & Rescue service reported 350 tonnes of elephant grass was alight with smoke drifting across nearby roads and houses.

Latest update from the service said the road will remain closed until further notice.
