VIDEO: Two houses raided by police in drugs search in Northamptonshire

Two houses in Daventry were raided by police this morning (Monday) as they searched for drugs.

The two addresses, both in The Medway on the Grange estate, were simultaneously raided shortly after 9am this morning.

Northamptonshire Police were executing warrants at both addresses under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

At one property officers broke through a door to get into the home.

Both homes were searched by officers and a sniffer dog.

Sgt Carol Fullerton said: “We had information from members of the public, and intelligence gathered by officers, that certainly lead to these warrants.

“The two properties are in the process of being searched.

“For us the important thing is the quality of life of the neighbours and the wider community. We want the message to get out to those dealing drugs that we will be coming after them too.”
