Drivers are facing hour-long delays on the M1 between Northampton and Milton Keynes after a four-vehicle pile-up closed two lanes on Saturday morning.

Highways England say two HGVs and two cars are involved in the smash southbound between junction 15 and junction 14.

A spokesman said officers are currently on scene but are advising drivers to find alternative routes where possible.

Traffic is also reported to be tailing back on the A45 at junction 15 as drivers struggle to get on to the southbound entry slip.
