Trio escape injury after driver crashes into stadium:mk while '˜attempting to park'

Two ticket sellers at stadium:mk miraculously escaped injury when a car crashed into the ticket office while '˜attempting to park' ahead of MK Dons' game with Huddersfield Town on Tuesday night.

A silver Ford Focus came off the road at around 7.30pm, ploughed through a concrete block and across the pavement before crashing into the ticket office built into the side of stadium:mk.

Fortunately, no Huddersfield fans were queuing for tickets at the time, just 15 minutes before the game kicked off, and no-one was seriously injured.

Two ticket sellers in the booth were shaken but didn’t need any further attention, while the driver was assessed in the stadium:mk’s medical room but required no further treatment.

A spokesman from MK Dons said: “The club can confirm that shortly before kick-off last night (Tuesday) a driver, while attempting to park, lost control of his vehicle, which resulted in a collision with the away ticket booth located in the north east corner of stadium:mk.

“Two members of matchday staff were present in the booth at the time of the incident. Both were shaken but were assessed on site and did not require medical treatment. The driver of the vehicle was assessed in the stadium’s medical room and did not require medical treatment.

“This morning (Wednesday) the club made contact with all parties involved and is pleased to hear their wellbeing remains the same.

“No other members of the public were at the booth at the time of the collision.

“The Box Office operations at stadium:mk have not been affected and service continues as normal.

“The club will not make any further comment on the matter until its investigation into the incident is fully and properly completed.”
