Tuesday travel: M1 traffic stuck between Northampton and Milton Keynes

Highways England are warning of major delays on the M1 southbound between Northampton and Milton Keynes on Tuesday morning.

Traffic in all three lanes were stopped near the exit slip at Junction 14 following a collision between a car and a lorry at around 8.25am.

Traffic officers later reported vehicles in lanes two and three had been released but lane one remained closed while recovery work was under way.

Drivers southbound are still having to deal with delays from an earlier accident between Junction 18 and 16 in Northamptonshire.
