Highways England advising drivers to expect at least half-hour delays

A crash is caushing five miles of queues on the M1 between Milton Keynes and Northampton on wednesday morning.

Highways England reported a three-vehicle smash northbound, between Junction 14 and Junction 15 at around 11am.

A spokesman said: "Lanes one and two are currently blocked. We have recovery vehicles and traffic officers heading to the scene.

"There are currently five miles of congestion on approach to this incident. Please add an extra 30 minutes onto your journey time."
