Six-mile queues on M1 after 'police incident' shuts two lanes southbound near Northampton
Traffic is queuing for six miles on the M1 in Northamptonshire following a police incident early this morning (Wednesday May 20).
Two lanes remain closed southbound between junction 15A and junction 15 with traffic backing up as far as junction 16.

Hide AdMore tailbacks are forming on the A45 as drivers struggle to join the motorway at junction 15.
No details have been given abut the police incident, which Highways England first reported at around 4.45am. Traffic officers estimate delays will continue throughout the morning rush hour.
Drivers are being advised to seek alternative routes southbound and avoid the area where possible.
