Severe delays in Northampton after reports of a broken down vehicle at Riverside roundabout

A road in Northampton is severely congested this morning after reports of a broken down vehicle.

The A43 between the Riverside roundabout and the Round Spinney roundabout has delays of up to 16 minutes.

AA Traffic is reporting an average speed of five miles per hour on the main road this morning.

It is understood there is a broken down car on the Riverside roundabout that is causing tailbacks past Weston Favell to the Sound Spinney roundabout.

There are also delays across the surrounding roads.
