Overturned lorry on roundabout close to Northampton M1 junction causing delays

UPDATE: The slip road has now reopened.

An overturned lorry on a roundabout over the M1 is causing delays to traffic this morning (August 17).

The lorry is on its side on the roundabout for junction 15 where the A45 joins the M1.

Highways and police officers are on scene dealing with the incident, which is causing delays for drivers travelling northbound on the M1, as well as those travelling on the A508 towards the A45.

The exit slip road from the M1 is currently closed to aid recovery.

Police are advising drivers to avoid the area until recovery has been completed and traffic has begun to clear.
