One lane closed on M1 and slow traffic after lorry broke down travelling towards Northampton

The lorry broke down on the motorway between Milton Keynes and Northampton.

One lane on the M1 has been closed after a lorry broke down.

One lane on the M1 northbound has been closed after a lorry broke down between junctions 14 (Milton Keynes) and 15 (Northampton) earlier this evening (March 15).

There are currently reports of slow traffic whilst the breakdown is being dealt with.

Highways England said: "The event is expected to clear between 20.30 and 20.45."
