Major road closed on Northamptonshire border after accident

Emergency services have closed a major road on the Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire border after an accident.
Highways England tweeted at 12.15pm: "The #A5 in BOTH directions #Towcester (#A43) to #A422, traffic has been temporarily STOPPED due to a collision. @NorthantsPolice & @EMASNHSTrust are currently at the scene."
The AA said that the road had been closed between Old Stratford Roundabout and Poundfield Road.
There are no details at this stage as to the nature of the accident.
