Hold-ups on M1 southbound and A45 near Northampton on Friday morning

Drivers heading for the M1 from Northampton and Daventry are being warned to expect delays on Friday morning.

Highways England were reporting tailbacks southbound and on the A45 at around 7am with one lane blocked by a broken down van on the motorway near to Junction 15.

Sensors are showing traffic slow back to Junction 15A on the M1 and past the Wootton turn-off on the A45 at 7.15am.

Unconfirmed reports say a second vehicle is also stalled in lane three.
