Four-mile tailbacks on M1 following rush-hour shunt near Northampton

Traffic is queuing for around four miles during Wednesday's morning rush hour following a crash on the M1 southbound in Northamptonshire.

Highways England reported tailbacks between Junctions 18 and Junction 16 for Northampton at around 7.30am.

Other sources say all traffic was held for around ten minutes while emergency services deal with the shunt in lane one near the Northampton turn-off.
