Drivers face Monday morning delays BOTH WAYS on M1 between Milton Keynes and Northampton

Crash causing queues northbound, plus a broken down vehicle blocking one lane going south

Drivers are being warned to face rush-hour delays both ways on the M1 during Monday morning's rush hour.

The Highways England says a crash has closed one lane northbound between Junction 14 for Milton Keynes and Junction 15 at Northampton.

Delays were described as "moderate" at 7am but a spokesman for the agency said: "There has been a collision involving two vehicles just past Newport Pagnell services in lane three — please approach with caution. The incident is not expected not expected to clear until between 8.45am and 9am."

A broken down van is also causing moderate delays between Junction 14 and Junction 13 on the southbound side.
