Journey times will be extended by around half-an-hour between Northampton and London Euston and Birmingham New Street.

LNR's customer experience director, Lawrence Bowman, said: "Network Rail is carrying out essential engineering work on November 8 which means our services will not be able to call at Long Buckby or Northampton.

"We are advising passengers to plan ahead and allow extra time for their journeys if they travel as rail replacement buses will be in operation.

"We would also remind passengers that face coverings should be worn at all times when on board trains or rail replacement buses, unless a medical exemption applies."
