Buses headed into Northampton town centre running again after road traffic accident in Abington

Northamptonshire Police have confirmed that they were called to a road traffic accident on Wellingborough Road at the Abington Park roundabout in Northampton at around 7.30pm tonight (November 18).

Police have since informed us that no one was seriously injured in the incident so an ambulance was not called.

The incident temporarily halted Stagecoach bus services going into Northampton town centre for around an hour. There were no reported road closures.

Stagecoach Midlands tweeted: "We’re pleased to announce that the previously delays on the Wellingborough Road have now gone and services can now operate normal route."
