Trains between Northampton and Birmingham cancelled after emergency incident
Operator London Midland says the disruption is expected to last through the peak travel hours this morning (Monday, November 7).
A spokesman for the train company said: " London Midland is currently unable to run trains between Birmingham New Street and Northampton. Disruption is expected to continue throughout the morning peak today (Monday, November 7).

Hide AdIt is still unclear what the emergency incident is, but local reports suggest ambulances have arrived at the station in Birmingham.
Those who have bought tickets for travel today will be able to use alternate train services.
These are:
Chiltern Railways – between London Marylebone and Birmingham
CrossCountry – between Tamworth and Birmingham and Leicester/Nuneaton and Birmingham
Virgin Trains – on any "reasonable route."

Hide AdNational Express West Midlands Buses – routes 11A & 11C, 14, 59, 97 and 900.
National Express Coventry Buses – routes 5, 18 and 18A (n.b. buses from Birmingham depart from Moor Street Queensway).
In addition, there will be some impact on London Midland services to and from Euston and London Midland, tickets will be accepted on London Underground and London Buses via reasonable routes.
